Bloomfield Coffee Maker
Bloomfield coffee makers actually started off in 1933. They began manufacturing display and pie cases in Chicago. The company was formed by Samuel Bloomfield. A couple of years later Bloomfield started manufacturing small kitchenware such as salt shakers and sugar pourers. Samuel Bloomfield was assisted in his enterprise by his sons Harold and Daniel. Over the years Bloomfield continued to expand at a great rate, so much so that they had to move to a new facility. On the death of the founder in 1954 his sons assumed control.
Bloomfield coffee makers came into existence in 1961 when Bloomfield bought the commercial division of the Procter - Silex company and began making coffee makers for the commercial food services market. Bloomfield became part of the Beatrice Food Company in 1964 and in 1984 was to undergo another restructuring. In 1985 Bloomfield manufacturing operation was moved from Chicago merged with the Wells company and its operations in Verdi near Reno, Nevada. Wells already had a considerable reputation in the catering industry as a manufacturer of hotplates, toasters, griddles, waffle makers etc.
The merging of Bloomfield and Wells has seen Bloomfield coffee makers secure a strong position as one of the coffee makers market's strongest forces. Amongst Bloomfield many coffee related products are Bloomfield coffee makers, Bloomfield coffee warmers, Bloomfield hot drink dispensers and customised glass coffee pots.
Bloomfield have developed their E.B.C., this stands for Electronic Brew Control. In effect what this does is, during low use periods for the coffee maker the warmer plates automatically turn off and the brew cycle occurs lessfrequently. However when the brew switch is hit again no coffee will be brewed until the optimal temperature for brewing coffee is achieved. The E.B.C. system uses a touch keypad with switches and lights, plus an audible signal. The lights and signal guide the user through the different brewer operations. * 1012 E.B.C.™ Three Warmer, In-Line Automatic Coffee Brewer (with Hot Water Faucet), 21"D x 8 5/8"W x 18 7/8"H * 1016 E.B.C.
